Trekking

Challenging trekking possible but also easier treks. It’s quite a flexible area. We offer several treks in this area.
The two day Samoeng trekking starts in Samoeng and ends in the Mae Wang area. This is an off the beaten track adventure. We also offer a comfort version of this trek.
In the Mae Wang area we offer two small group adventures: the two day Karen Experience and the three day Mae Wang Trekking and Cycling Adventure which features a half day cycling trip.
The private trekkings we offer here are a two day trekking with overnight in the Karen village Huay Khao Lip and three day trekking with a meaningful elephant friendly experience. The Mae Wang area gets many visitors due to its proximity to Chiang Mai and the abundance of activities. During the Mae Wang trekking we usually meet other trekkers but once you go further into the forest you meet hardly anyone. More programs are being surveyed.

Other activities

There are a number of elephant camps in this area that offer elephant riding and mahout courses.
Rubber boat (white water) and bamboo rafting are possible on the Wang River (Mae Wang)

Villages

There are village of the Karen and Hmong tribes. A couple of villages are heavily visited and we avoid these. It is still possible to find quiet places.
